Model profile: Olivia Palermo shines through new editorials

Olivia Palermo, born in 1986 to a real estate developer and interior designer, is an American socialite of Italian descent. She grew up in Greenwich, CT and attended New York’s The New School.

Olivia first came on the scene in 2008 when she was casted for MTV’s “The City.” Starring opposite the amiable Whitney Port, Olivia seemed rather aloof and snobbish, labeling herself a “social.”

Nonetheless, she quickly became a style icon (featured on Page Six’s Living) and seems to have everything a girl could want: beauty, money, style, a bubbly social life and a model boyfriend. This leaves many wondering: Does she have any talent to go with the fame?

Palermo & Heubl: picture perfect in Elle feature

It’s not hard to see Olivia is blessed with a slender figure that’s editorial-ready, big eyes and long brown locks.  At least she is putting her beauty to good use.

Joining Wilhelmina modeling agency in 2009, Olivia has appeared in numerous fashion campaigns and editorials since. Last January, she and boyfriend Johannes Heubl were photographed in an Elle feature titled Modern Love. The picturesque couple also appeared in Mango’s winter campaign.

Since the beginning of 2011, Olivia has been featured in Tibi’s web campaign, StyleCaster’s Limelight and most recently Elle Mexico’s April issue. In the Limelight shoot, she is styled in 70s boho-glam looks and favors bangs over the usual pulled back hair. In Elle Mexico, Olivia wears a series of enviable printed and flowy dresses.
