After the earthquake and Tsunami in mid March, many companies and corporations in the fashion industry donated millions of dollars out of pocket while others designed T-shirts to raise awareness for the Japanese in need.
The CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) also took the initiative to solicit an auction for the cause (“Fashion & Friends for Japan”), which opened on Charitybuzz.com.
Diane Von Furstenberg, president of CFDA, offered an unique item that is currently leading the listing at $16,000. She will invite the winning bidder to stay at her Harbour Island beach house in the Bahamas for a week, accompanied by $1,000 to spend at any DVF boutique. Charity Buzz estimates the value of this lot at a whooping $50,000.
Guess who is reigning the second place? None other than Victoria’s Secret angel Doutzen Kroes. The current bidder is willing to dish out $15,500 to attend the magical Victoria’s Secret fashion show and meet with the supermodel. However, it doesn’t seem like the bid is going to stay there for long as its estimated worth is $30,000.
Kroes is currently worth a third more than the third highest item, a Ralph Lauren experience in Paris complete with hotel and airfares, which stands at 10,500.
Others lots include attending a Vogue photo shoot with Anna Wintour, consultation with Alexander Wang, Rachel Zoe, backstage access to Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2012 campaign photoshoot, etc.
