Keira Knightly recently appeared in a 3-minute short-film advertisement for Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume. Shot by Joe Wright, director of Pride and Prejudice and Atonement, the commercial is artistic and contains pleasant surprises.
She plays a temptress who seduces a hunky photographerplayed by Argentine actor Alberto Amman. The short film climaxes and ends in an unexpected twist, with Keira having the upper hand as the seducer.
The feminine power motif is reinforced by the soundtrack – Joss Stone’s version of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World.”
Keira Knightley replaced Kate Moss as the spokesperson of Coco Mademoiselle in 2007. She has starred in numerous provocative print ads since. (Check out the 2007 print ad, 2009 print ad.) A 2007 commercial shows Keira out on the town in a classy red gown. The soulful soundtrack was also done by Joss Stone covering “Love” by Nat King Cole.
